“Water” is made by recorded sounds of flowing rivers and falling rain, to which I added a soulful melody that reflects our profound interconnection with water. I layered in electronics, glitch-infused percussion, bursts of distorted accordion, and textures of synths, adding tension to the soundscape. This work inhabits the space between composition and improvisation, performance and site-specific installation, inviting a deeply personal listening experience. We are made of water, surrounded by it - yet we often take it for granted, draining and polluting this vital entity. Through this piece, I aim to foster ecological awareness and mutual understanding. I perform using my expanded instrument, the Poliarmonica, a hybrid of accordion, pedalboards, computer electronics, and field recordings. "Water" is an homage to the element itself, a small yet meaningful step in my ongoing exploration of relational and ecological listening.
